How to Go to Bohol from Cebu?

The most common way to go to Bohol from Cebu is to take a ferry from Cebu City to Tagbilaran City in Bohol. There are several ferry companies that offer this service with multiple trips per day. The ferry ride takes around 1.5 to 2 hours. You can book your ferry ticket online or at the ferry terminal upon arrival. Tickets typically cost around PHP 200 to PHP 300 per person one way (depends on the ferry).

Another option is to take a bus from Cebu to Tagbilaran. Several bus companies like Ceres offer this route with busses leaving every hour from Cebu City. The bus ride takes around 3 to 4 hours depending on traffic and stops. Bus fares are typically similar to ferry ticket prices.

You can also fly directly from Cebu to Bohol if you want the quickest option. There are multiple daily flights between Mactan-Cebu International Airport and Bohol’s Tagbilaran Airport. Flight time is only around 20 minutes and fares start at around PHP 1,000.

Once you arrive in Tagbilaran City, there are various ways to get around Bohol including jeepneys, tricycles, taxis, and tour vans. If you want to visit the famous attractions like the Chocolate Hills, Alona Beach, and the Blood Compact site, you will likely need to arrange a tour or hire a driver and vehicle.
