Kumusta, Hello Cebu PH Fam! I hope this finds you well. I wanted to share with you all an update on one of Cebu’s favorite mountain getaways, Ibabaw Mountain Resort in Liloan.
I recently made a visit in March 2024 and was delighted to see how the resort has grown and improved over the past few years. The views are just as breathtaking as ever, overlooking Lapu-Lapu City and Mactan Island. A staff told me they’ve been busy sprucing things up for the upcoming summer season.
Some of the upgrades include renovated cottages and rooms with new furnishings, an expanded swimming pool area with additional lounge chairs and cabanas, and an outdoor bar/grill serving up cold drinks and snacks all day. The restaurant menu has also been refreshed with local specialties like inihaw na hito and adobo rice.
Accommodations range from basic native huts starting at 2,500 pesos per night up to larger family cottages that can sleep six for 3,500 pesos. They’ve also added some new deluxe rooms with air conditioning for 1,800 pesos. Day use rates are 100 pesos for adults and 50 pesos for kids 3–9 years old.
Getting to Ibabaw Mountain Resort is still very easy; just head to the Yati intersection in Liloan and follow the signs. The habal-habal ride from there is only 40 pesos each way. They also offer van transport from major Cebu cities for around 1,500 pesos one way.
Overall, Ibabaw Mountain Resort continues to be a wonderful escape from the city heat. The friendly staff and breathtaking views make it well worth a visit this summer. Don’t forget to say hi to staffs for me! Salamat, and happy traveling!
